How many times have you scrambled to arrive on time at the airport and, once there, have you discovered that your flight was delayed? So, you found yourself killing time by walking through the duty free shops while, perhaps, you could have packed up with more calmness. With the new version of Google Flights all this will not happen again: Big G has announced that it has improved its search engine through an algorithm that is able to predict the delay .
In practice, with artificial intelligence that studies flight history and automatically learns problems, Google Flight will report delays to the user even before the company. But the delay will be officialized by Google only if there is a certainty of 80%. The passenger simply enter the flight number, the company and the route and in a few seconds he will know if his plane is on time, the reason for the missed departure on time and also the waiting time.
The new service has been designed, in particular, for passengers on economy flights that often have more unexpected problems than customers who choose the business class . A further step forward for the Google-based flight engine that already warns users of problems that may arise during travel, such as flight cancellation.
The delayed prediction is added to another new feature of Google Flights: provide detailed information on the economy rates .
It often happens that companies offer flights at bargain prices without specifying what is included in the ticket. So it is not easy to know, for example, how much it costs to board the baggage or if you can choose the place, all options that vary from company to company. Google Flights will be able to make the user more aware during the purchase showing all the information, at least for the time being, regarding the American, Delta and United flights .
